Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Review (Spoiler-Free)

Where do I even begin? This movie was incredible. It's been a while since I've seen Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, but I knew with how great the first one was that I had to see the second one.

This movie was almost as visually stunning as its predecessor. As pointed out by one of my friends, there were some scenes that it seemed like the background was not as detailed, but the focus on the fantastic story and detailed characters make up for it. The movie had a way of drawing you into its world and making you invested in the characters' journeys.

The plot of this movie was like the first movie on steroids. I knew that we were going to be getting more Spider-Man variations in this film, but nothing could have prepared me for everything that would come at me in this film. What I found to be truly remarkable was the continuation of the plot from the first movie, which was executed in a highly exceptional manner. This film delved deeper into the events of the first one and much more. Given that it has been five years since the release of Into the Spider-Verse, I would highly recommend revisiting it before watching this one, as it would provide a clearer understanding of the narrative.

Much like the first film, this movie also had an incredible soundtrack. Metro Boomin really outdid himself with the music for the film. Some of my favorite songs included Annihilate and Givin' Up.

Another great thing about this movie was the tie-ins with the recent live-action Spider-Man movies. Marvel has been giving its fans an overload of multiverse content in recent years, and both Tom Holland's Peter Parker and Shameik Moore's Miles Morales have been exceptional examples of this.

In conclusion, there are been very few Marvel movies that have kept me invested in the franchise in recent years. Thor: Love & Thunder was fun, but it wasn't spectacular. Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania was a good adventure, but felt too much like an extended episode of Rick & Morty. This film and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 have been great additions to the Marvel franchise and have been able to restore my faith in Marvel Cinematic Universe's future.
